Eastern South Region Council

Following a decision of the Board of Active Retirement Network Ireland the Eastern South Region Council (hereinafter referred to as "the Council") of ARI was established on the 20th February 2013.

 

The Council exists under the Articles and Memorandum of Association of ARNI and is thereby a constituent part of ARNI subject to the overall authority of ARNI exercised in accordance with the said articles.

 

The Area covered by the council consists of the geographic areas of South County Dublin, also County Kildare and County Wicklow. 
​The Council consists of:

(a) Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Public Relations Officer, and a committee of not less than three or more than seven ordinary members, with voting power elected at the Annual General Meeting.

 

(b) Two delegates from each Active Retirement Association (ARA) in the region that is affialiated to ARNI with voting powers
 

(c) Development officer(s) without voting powers 

 

(d) No officer of the region may hold the same office for more than three consecutive years, but may be re-elected after an interval of one year.

Total maximum membership as elected officer and /or ordinary member of the Regional Committee shall be limited to six(6) consecutive years.

 

 

 

The Regional Council committee meeting is held monthly on the first Tuesday in SDCC Council Offices in Clondalkin Village in the community meeting rooms.

 

Regional Council meetings are held on a regular basis and all participating groups are invited to attend Venues are arranged in advance.

These meetings are policy driven and guest speakers are usually invited to attend. 

Regional Council also organise and run service training workshops.
